Our strip out services, in a bit more detail
No two spaces are ever alike, and every one has its own challenges, depending on what modifications the last tenants made to it. We’ll make sure every facet gets a thorough and professional going-over.
Ceilings
We can deinstall or demolish all types of ceilings and modifications. We’ll break down plaster ceilings, dismantle a suspended ceiling grid, and safely disconnect unwanted lights and speaker systems.
Floors
If you’d like to keep the existing floors as they are, we’ll repair any cracks, dents and flaws, then give them a thorough clean to remove any stains. Or, we can remove all types of floor coverings, veneers and finishes, such as ceramic tiles, carpets, vinyl or wood. Once we’ve stripped the floor back to the substrate, our experts can grind and polish the concrete, leaving it ready to be used as is or for a new covering to be installed over it.
Walls
We can safely demolish any soft or hard walls and partitions tenants have installed, whether they’re made of glass, wood or concrete. Before a single hole is punched, we’ll assess every wall to ensure it isn’t load-bearing. We’ll assess all remaining walls to ensure that they’re sound and safe for whatever purpose your next tenants have for the space.
Furniture and fixtures
If you’re a landlord, your previous tenants may have decided to leave behind all of their furniture and decor. If you’re a tenant, you may not have the ability to dispose of what you’ve bought. We’ll take it. We can deinstall all permanent furniture and take away everything to be recycled or resold. Of course, we’ll gladly leave behind anything the landlord wants to keep.
Waste removal
The final stage of the strip out is the most important — the clean-up. We’ll remove all waste, including hazardous waste, that we’ve generated or that’s been left behind by the previous tenant. We’ll recycle all that we can. Before handover, our engineers will also assess the structural integrity of the floors, walls and ceilings to ensure everything is safe.
